This is the place we found about the famous IIC [International Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works, London,UK]; they publish quite a good magazine, "Studies in Conservation". Write for more informations to: iicon@compuserve.com.
The link to one of the most famous museums of all the world, the J.Paul Getty Museum. You will find thousands of very special things to visit. We add one more link to take you quickly to an interesting place inside the Getty.

Excerpt taken from ICOMOS homage; it sounds interesting and, yes, it is very interesting. ICOM , the International Council of Museums, is "[..]devoted to the promotion and development of museums and the museum profession at an international level. ICOM is a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) maintaining formal relations with UNESCO. It has a consultative status to the United Nations' Economic and Social Council. ICOM was created in 1946 and has around 13,000 members in 145 countries. The membership participates in the activities of 112 National Committees and 25 International Committees. Some National Committees have also organised on a regional level to reinforce their action". For everybody interested in museums the definitive WEB place to go. This is the CoOL place, that is to say Conservation on Line. A name that is quite appropriate to one of the richest site for documentation about conservation of libraries, archives and museums. Go there and see by yourself.
ICCROM [International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property] is a long time established cultural organization, located in one of the largest building in Rome. Anyone involved in restoration MUST know ICCROM, so visit their pages immediately.

A small but good try at publishing a WEB magazine; you can find some nice articles, too.
